Accountable for overseeing, managing and delivering complex, multi-faceted IT projects and programs. Led the Rational brand adherence to the IBM Software Group platform priorities and defined the priorities specific to the Rational brand for platforms, and dependent software and middleware versions to ensure successful product integration.

 

Project Manager (2007 – 2009)

Managed and communicated the project deliverable status, risks, issues, defects and developed schedules across 7 Rational UA teams. Team consisted of over 45 information developers across 5 international sites.Collaborated with various software release management teams to define and refine processes to better integrate agile development and agile User Assistance (UA) processes with the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).

 

Manager, Information Development (2000 – 2007)

Managed a 10 person User Assistance (Technical Writing) team of information developers, editors, multimedia content developers, tools specialists, and software developers.Assigned, monitored and tracked projects and communicated status to senior management.Interviewed, hired and trained a cohesive user assistance team that is still consistently in the top 30% of performers on their respective teams.

Wrote content using DITA principles.

Senior Information Developer (Technical Writer) and Team Leader

Led the planning, design, and creation of online help and user manuals in FrameMaker+SGML, WinHelp, HTML, Text and PDF formats for myself and two other junior information developers.

Performed business analysis of customer needs to determine the ideal format of various product documentation.

Increased customer satisfaction with the product documentation by 50% which exceeded the target set by management by 25%.
